A Woodworking Commission of Renown
In 2010 Tremont Wood Specialties was commissioned to undertake some of the cabinetry on America's largest ever built private super-yacht, the 281 foot Cakewalk.
We were brought in to complete the cabinetry and furniture in all the Crew Quarters. After that we outfitted the Workshop, the Bosun Room, IT room, AV room, Medical Store, Lazarette and Tender Bay.
For the cabinetry in the Tender Bay we used 3/4" thick King Starboard for the cabinets and 3/4" Tufboard for the doors. We finished the doors and side gables with high-gloss Awlgrip paint and this is proving to be an excellent choice. The finish is keeping its deep lustre and has no issues keeping up with the intense heat while in the southern hemisphere.
